People are Still Waiting. Why The Coverup????

    by Phixer1980, 1 day ago
Tomorrow will make it 4 months since Mr. Johnny Hurley was murdered by the Arvada Police Department. They say the investigation is complete, but the charging of the Officer V still has not happened. Why is Jefferson County dragging it's feet? This is not going away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your extreme efforts in the trial and sentencing of the semi-truck driver is not going to divert the attention of the people of Arvada and Jefferson County.

    Little Free Library

by Crosscurrents, about 1 month ago
My neighbors across the street (Steve and Kat) constructed and stocked a "Little Free Library" on our street, with books to borrow for both children and adults. They're very busy, with three children, and yet found time to add something of value to our neighborhood. They are awesome!

When are we going to settle this matter??????

    by Phixer1980, 2 months ago
John Hurley was murdered by the Arvada Police Department on June 21, 2021 and still we have no charges against the officer who killed him. If I as a private citizen had killed someone who I "thought" had be involved in an incident, I would already be charged and awaiting trial.

I agree that Mr. Hurley should not have picked up the rifle, but the officer, who remains unknown, should not have fired on Mr. Hurley just because he was present. I am a military veteran who carried an automatic weapon knew better than to just fire upon a person... Continue reading

    Magical Mornings

    by MostlySunny, 3 months ago
On winter mornings often we look out our windows and discover that our sidewalks and often our drive have been magically cleared of snow by one of our kind and hardworking neighbors. We so appreciate his efforts to help several of us and and it is lovely to see others joining in and helping too.

    Stuck in Snow

by Rachael Smallwood, 3 months ago

During this winter’s storm, I came so close to making it home, but got stuck just down the street. My neighbors came out to dig me out, and to push the car down the street. We helped dig someone out, and had general neighborly merriment romping around in the snow.

    Trash Service

    by DeanReeves, 3 months ago
Once again our Arvada politicians, aka all those that voted for a "one trash company fits all" approach, either missed the day in public policy class where the professor talked about unintended consequences of policy and government overreach, or they are just uneducated. Either way, all of the trash companies except Republic (the City's Golden Boy of services), have gone around and undercut the competition on price. I am now seeing more trucks in the neighborhood on more days, and on my street, maybe 20%-25% of residents are using the city's choice, Republic. But...the last laugh is on our city... Concealed Carry

    by dino, 3 months ago
I and everyone in Arvada share in the morning of the gallant officer who used ambushed by that idiot. My question is does anybody care for the individual who had concealed carry and came to the officer's aid and shot the idiot who was getting ready to kill more officer's with an AR-15. Unfortunately the individual who would have been praised as a hero was shot by Arvadas finest in the confusion. He should by training I received getting my concealed carry permit should of kicked the AR-15 away from the idiot.

I did not know the brave individual but... Continue reading
