Vote on your favorite Lake Arbor Recreation Center playground design!

As part of the City’s “Taking Lasting Care” (TLC) Program, the Parks team recently reached out to you to get your feedback on potential playground designs for the Lake Arbor Recreation Center, Marge Roberts Park and Lake Crest Park. We are currently in the phase of selecting the final design for the playground at Lake Arbor Recreation Center.

Here is what your Lake Arbor Recreation Center Playground survey responses indicated you would like to see:

  • Themes associated with castles, dragons, and space travel were popular, but a generic play theme as an acceptable design solution;
  • Age appropriate equipment to include slides, motion/spinning features, traditional and toddler swings, rope climbing structures, and structures that would allow for group and creative play;
  • Shaded areas as part of the play equipment and design to help provide a break from Colorado's sun;
  • Vibrant and engaging pattern in the play surface and structure.
Based on your feedback, we have put together some final design options and are asking for your vote. Visit our staff in-person at Lake Arbor Rec Center Park on Saturday, August 7 and and Saturday, August 14 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. to vote on your favorite design, or take our short online survey by August 16. We will report back to you when a final design has been selected!

Thank you for participating in keeping Arvada parks and playgrounds vibrant!
