Consultation has concluded.

We are launching Share Our Arvada to capture our residents' stories and memories of what makes Arvada a great place to live, work and play. Over the coming months, we will share new prompts and questions for the community. The Arvada City team may contact you to learn more or to share your stories on social media or other communication channels. We want to hear from you - the people that make Arvada a great place to live.

Our first prompt - Arvada of the Past.

Many Arvada residents have been in the community for a long time and have seen a lot of change, some good, some challenging. We want to hear from you about the Arvada of the past. For our newer residents, share your first memory of Arvada, the first time you visited, the first time you went to a festival, the first time you knew Arvada was home.

Using the Story Tool on this page, you can share your stories and images. Other residents will be able to see them when you submit it. Take some time to read other people's stories, too.

Road on 80th to Leyden Rock is TERRIBLE

by PamDeck, about 2 months ago
When is this town going to improve the roads? Yes they worked on 72 and it looks great BUT it seems like they wait until a developer contributes and then it is spotty at best. The road I drive from Kipling on 80th WEST to Leydon Rock development is disgusting! BUMPY, narrow and just unsafe! You don't see this kind of "POOR PLANNING" in Littleton, (Highlands Ranch) or Wheat Ridge or even Westminster! ARVADA CIty planners and road development people should be ashamed!

    clean up arvada

by Gary Bankes, 6 months ago
Arvada has many attractive areas, unfortunately it also has many areas that are not. They are easy to spot. Just drive around and look! people and businesses do not take care of their property. In addition, many areas are now being overran with the so called homeless. What is the leadership of our city doing about any of this? Very little as far as I can tell.

Moved from Olde Town to Northwest

    by robertwest, 6 months ago

After living in a condo in the Olde Town area for 20 years, we moved to the senior living complex, Springwood, in 2020. We still have such great memories of life in Olde Town that my wife and I still visit there and are concerned about what goes on there and now also enjoy life in the Northwest areas. We lived in Denver from 1976 til we moved to Arvada in 2000, so we wish there would be as much activity in Arvada as there was in Denver.
