Consultation has concluded
Thank you to all who took the time to engage in this interactive public process to express your opinions on how to enhance our city-wide trails system. Your input was used to identify common threads of what is important to trail users within the community and serve as a guide to City Staff in making sound planning and budget decisions for 2020 and beyond.
For the first phase of implementation of these trail features in 2020, our efforts will be centered around supplying more locations for benches to sit and rest on, waste receptacles for both pet waste and general trash, and additional/upgraded wayfinding signage to better help guide users along our trail system. Planning efforts for specific locations are being developed and will be identified later this year and into early 2020 with the intention of installing them in the Summer and through the Fall of 2020.
Please keep in mind that many great comments were received on several other topics that were unrelated to this specific trail project. Some of the comments may be more Parks Department related, outside of Parks Department purview or fall under the jurisdiction of another City department. Those comments have been acknowledged and are being evaluated by other departments within the City of Arvada.
