W 57th Avenue

The City is studying the W 57th Avenue corridor from Garrison St to Upham St and a small section of Grandview Ave from Independence St to Garrison St.

The study is looking at ways to improve mobility and safety along the corridor for people bicycling, walking, and driving. The 2017 Bicycle Masterplan identified this corridor as the most important bike route in the city and this corridor study is the next step in developing improvements in this area.

We are engaging the public to provide feedback on issues, potential solutions, and ideas to enhance this corridor for everyone. Please provide input through our interactive map, survey, and/or email.

The study is planned to be completed by the end of 2020 with the recommendations moving into design in 2021.

Garrison Street Trail

The trail between Ralston Road and 57th Avenue, adjacent to the Arvada Community Gardens was installed several years ago with a Safe Routes to School grant to facilitate bike and pedestrian connectivity for neighborhoods to the north to get to schools around the Olde Town area. With the proposed residential development on both sides of the trail as well as the future redevelopment of the Arvada Square (NWC of Garrison St & Ralston Rd), we would like to hear from the community regarding the trail's current use and if there are any needs for improvement.
