Unique Community Celebrations Revealed Arvada's Hometown Values
When we first moved to Arvada and our kids were little, we quickly became acquainted with the unique community celebrations Arvada offered. The Scarecrow Festival, Lagniappe, a Chocolate Affair, and everyone's favorite--the Kite Festival! We also loved the fact that during the Harvest Festival, they offered a baking contest, bingo, a teddy bear picnic and a spelling bee!! In Olde Town during the holidays we could take carriage rides and watch the Mayor light the Christmas tree! All these special events provided a sense of community with old-fashioned values, and I think that brings with it a sense of security/safety as well. To me, and to my children who are now adults, community and security/safety are values that stand the test of time, and I think Arvada does that very well!
